Sermon Notes

Just Maybe

What are the barren fig trees we’re trying to save, and are they worth saving? Where are we as people, as communities, as a nation dumping time, energy, money, and emotional investment into possessions or programs that cannot fill us up, but can only bleed us dry? What patterns and values and beliefs—even beliefs about God—are hurting us more than they are giving us life?

Where do you hear God calling you—or us—to come to the waters, to cut down the barren trees and plant new ones, to try something new and maybe—just maybe—find life more abundant than we ever imagined?
