at a church where all are welcome. That is what Agnus Dei is about.
Living and worshiping in God’s amazing grace is good news worth sharing. With joy we share that good news as we worship God and follow Jesus Christ in mission and service to neighbors in need, wherever they may be.
Agnus Dei is a name rich in Christian life. The name means Lamb of God, a biblical reference to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
Agnus Dei is a church community for all ages, from many denominations, centered in the good news that we are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Christ. We live in the truth that Christian faith is about a relationship with God that transforms our lives here and now. It’s faith that opens our hearts to God and to others.
GATHER IN WORSHIP THAT NOURISHES US. Vibrant worship in different styles leads us into a deepening relationship with God. God’s saving act in Jesus Christ comes alive in the Gospel, through reading, preaching and song. The meal-the Lord’s Supper-feeds us in the presence of Jesus Christ. And we are led by the Spirit in mission to the world. We draw from our rich musical heritage, contemporary writers and musicians, and global music from other cultures. We live in the truth that God is God for all people.
GROW THROUGH EDUCATION THAT EQUIPS US for living a Christian life. We endeavor to be “the education church” A preschool with 75 students, an extensive confirmation program, children’s Sunday School, active middle and high school groups, adult bible study, poetry and book groups. Discussion groups like “Brewed Awakenings” that meet in local coffee shops, Sunday adult forums on contemporary topics, presented in an atmosphere of open and civil discourse, help us discover faith in our everyday lives. God is with us as we grow in faith.
GO IN COMPASSION THAT EXTENDS US as we follow Jesus’ mission into the world. We work to end hunger locally and globally. Habitat for Humanity, quilts and prayer shawls, prison ministry, environmental and economic justice advocacy, parish nurse ministry and more.
At Agnus Dei, our faith is a way of the heart. We heartily invite you to join us.
