Pastor Seth Novak

Seth has served at Agnus Dei Lutheran Church since 2014. He was born in Montana, earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Idaho in Moscow, and graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA. Seth loves the Church and loves making it his job because it allows him to see up close and personally how God is at work transforming the world, and to be a part of that work. In addition to all the “pastory” stuff, Seth also enjoys riding his bicycle, putting on chemistry demonstrations, and homebrewing beer and cider.

Deaconess Ann Shultz, Minister of Programs
Sister Ann was born at a very young age in southern California. She completed her education at the University of Puget Sound (BA), Saint Martin's University (MA), and Wartburg Theological Seminary.  She joined our staff on October 1 in the newly created position of Minister of Programs, serving as volunteer coordinator and program developer. She is enjoying getting to know the people of Agnus Dei which will enable her to connect volunteer needs with peoples' strengths while encouraging and coaching them along the way.
In her spare time Sister Ann enjoys the fiber arts, photography, gardening, tai chi, and hanging out with her goofy chihuahua and crazy orange cat.

Deacon Shari Shull, Minister of Music/Organist
As a Deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Shari serves Agnus Dei as organist, choir director, worship planner, as well as overseeing our entire music ministry.  Her formal education was acquired at Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and Trinity Lutheran Seminary.

Shari is a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and is past dean of the Tacoma Chapter of the American Guild of Organists where she served as director of the Pipe Organ Encounter Technical program in the summer of 2013 for the National AGO.  As an organ recitalist, she has been heard on Pipedreams on National Public Radio and in organ concerts in several states on the east coast and in Washington.

Cindy Beals, Office Administrator

Cindy was born and raised in the Northwest. She moved with her family to Gig Harbor and joined Agnus Dei in 2001. She began working in the church office in 2004. Cindy loves her job because it allows a nice balance between times of solitude in which to work creatively and time surrounded by all the wonderful people of Agnus Dei and Little Lambs Preschool. When she is not at work she enjoys reading, painting, gardening and dreaming up home improvement projects with her husband Bob. She also loves spending time with her kids and extended family.

Susan Luebeck, Church Musician
Beginning in her very earliest childhood memories, Susan has felt a deeply spiritual connection with music. She earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance at the University of Washington as a student of international concert artist, Bela Siki. She has served as pianist at Agnus Dei Lutheran since the year 2000, and has mentored private piano students for 35+ years.
Susan believes that, as Brian Wren says, worship music is a "vehicle" for the congregation's encounter with God, and that it should not only encourage and inspire, but help form our spirituality and shape our theology. She approaches her role in presenting this musical vehicle--one of worship, spiritual encounter, and inspiration-- with great care, awe and joy.Susan lives in an old, old house on the Burley Lagoon. Her loves include poetry, salty air and early mornings on the lagoon, musing, and spending hours adrift in her leaky rowboat.

Shannon Moore, Little Lambs Preschool Director

Shannon was raised in Gig Harbor and after graduating from Central Washington University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, she moved back. She is a mom of two boys that attend Purdy Elementary where she went to school. She loves working with the amazing families that come to Little Lambs Preschool. Shannon likes to be involved in her community and that is one of the reasons that she is a Den Leader for cubscouts. Some of Shannon’s hobbies are reading, knitting, traveling, and baking (especially cupcakes). She loves the Seahawks! Shannon’s favorite quote is “Your life is your message to the world. Make sure it’s inspiring.”- Anonymous
