The Sea Star Foundation began after a group of dental hygienists participating in short term dental mission projects saw the tremendous dental needs of the people we were called to serve.

My name is Marj Olason and I am one of those dental hygienists and a member of the Agnus Dei family.

The purpose of our foundation is to provide funding for the purchase of dental supplies for the treatment of children in Third World Countries.

I invite you to come and see what God is doing through the foundation as we are called to go in peace to bear Christ’s love to the world.

Habitat Building Begins at Last!

At last the building permits are issued, and construction has begun on the Thrivent Builds-Habitat house on the Key Peninsula.

Volunteers from Agnus Dei along with members of other Lutheran churches in our area are building a home for a family in need of an affordable home in a safe community. To learn more about the Habitat for Humanity Program active in Pierce County visit their webpage.

Associated Ministries Paint Tacoma

Each year members of Agnus Dei Lutheran Church participate in the Paint Tacoma-Pierce County Beautiful Program.

This program enables low-income seniors and low-income individuals with disabilities to get their homes painted at no charge by volunteers in our community.

The Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful is a program of Associated Ministries of Tacoma-Pierce County.

Associated Ministries Hunger Walk

Members of Agnus Dei have been long-time supporters of the Associated Ministries' Pierce County Hunger Walk by raising much needed funds for our neighbors in need. Support is especially important this year. Rising food and fuel prices have impacted many families in our community, leaving many low-income families with little food in their cupboards and on their tables. Pierce County food banks report a 19% increase in client requests compared to last year.

Last year the Pierce County Hunger Walk raised over $210,000 for our hungry neighbors. Please mark October 5 on your calendar and plan to participate this year.
