The priority responsibility of the Agnus Dei Hunger Committee is to promote the ELCA Hunger Appeal which has been established by the Church as our primary way of responding to hunger and poverty throughout the world and in our own nation.

A secondary responsibility is to support and promote other efforts that address the survival needs of those living in poverty. Two such efforts are the Pierce County Hunger Walk and Bread for the World. We encourage all our members to make weekly or monthly gifts to the Hunger Appeal (which appears as a line item on our offering envelopes).

Agnus Dei is recognized by Associated Ministries for outstanding stewardship

in the Pierce County Hunger Walk.
